Your attorney
Your attorney leads the legal strategy for your case and is the only person who can offer legal advice. They’ll ensure you’re prepared for all of your case milestones from the first legal strategy session to a hearing in court (if that’s relevant to your case).

You’ll primarily hear from your attorney about critical steps in your legal journey, such as before a court date or surrounding strategic aspects of your case.

Paralegals
We work with highly qualified paralegals nationwide, who prepare documents for your case, provide legal information and much more. If a paralegal is assigned to your case, they will support your attorney as they progress with your case, providing them with anything they need.
Like attorneys, we interview paralegals extensively and ensure they undergo a comprehensive onboarding process before assigning them to work with you. Learn more about what we expect from paralegals here.
Your paralegal has regular case status meetings with your attorney and is specifically here to help you with multiple stages of your legal journey. Your paralegal will be in touch about:
- Completing and providing necessary documents
- Court filings and service of process updates
- Verification of court dates
- Case status updates
- Providing more clarity on legal points throughout your case journey
Some attorneys do not work with a paralegal, so you can expect to work with them directly on these stages of your case.
